John enjoys exploring and photographing the waterfront and other points of interest along the Mississippi Gulf Coast. He seeks to capture fine-art images each time he snaps the shutter on his camera. John was recognized for his photography excellence when he won second place in all-media at the George Ohr Rising juried art exhibition in September 2006 with his image, “Pinks & Greens.” He has received several awards in local photography contests as well as Purchase Awards in the Ocean Springs Art Association 2007 Fall Show and the Biloxi Art Association Spring 2008 Festival of Arts. John received his Master of Science degree in Teleprocessing Science in 1987 and his Master of Education degree in Adult Education in 1997 from the University of Southern Mississippi.
